@Myphatself The only part of this that depends on the car itself is tracking the charge level (so I can charge to 40% off the grid at full current). Everything else is tracking the power demand from our meter and setting the current on the charger.
@chrisjrn that works. I use the "solar charge only' mode through Emporia for general charging and I put a bypass button in Home Assistant if we want to pay to charge. I'd like to be able to show how much charge is on the car.
@Myphatself For what it's worth, my polestar reports the drivetrain battery charge over the OBD port, so you could likely get that to transmit with something like https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/torque/
@Myphatself (if, instead of Torque, you might be able to rig up a bluetooth proxy and read off the bluetooth device directly; not entirely sure what's involved there)
@chrisjrn good idea. Ive used Torque before with other vehicles. I did find a general car module from HACS.
@chrisjrn the neighbors Rivian I can't keep out of my HA. I know when he is home and how far away his truck and keys are.
@Myphatself blooooootooooooooth -_-
